Improved College Football Betting Lines for Alabama

Eddie Lacy and Trent Richardson went for a pair of touchdowns each, which helped top-ranked Alabama to defend its BCS national title, by defeating San Jose State, 48-3. The college football betting lines for Alabama has further improved with this victory.

McElroy got 13-of-15 passes for 218 yards, while McCarron ended 9-of-15 for 116 yards. Lacy rushed for 111 yards.

Greg McElroy and A.J. McCarron both made TD passes for the Crimson Tide. Julio Jones on the other hand connected a one-handed touchdown catch during the second quarter and helped the team to score 31-3 and lead at halftime. However, the team couldn’t perform as expected, as two of their key players, Mark Ingram and Marcell Dareus, were absent from the match.

Ingram, the winner of Heisman Trophy, had to sit out because of a surgery on this left knee. Marcell, on the other hand was ruled ineligible for two games by the NCAA, because of deals made with sports agents. The betting lines of the team have worsened because of the absence of these players from the matches.
Alabama, which had 591 yards of total offense, will be playing its next big game against Penn State on Saturday.

Okung’s Sprain Affect Team’s NFL Betting Odds

Russell Okung, the offensive lineman of Seattle Seahawks, has sprained his right ankle. In this year’s draft, Okung was taken in the sixth overall pick. His injury might adversely affect the team’s NFL betting odds.
Okung suffered from the high ankle sprain on Saturday, during the team’s first preseason action against Tennessee. According to Pete Carroll, the head coach for Seattle, Okung’s sprain is moderate and he will be sidelined for an indefinite period.
The coach did not comment whether Okung would be able to participate in the season opening match against San Francisco, which is scheduled on September 12. This news has not only frustrated the NFL fans but has also affected the team’s position in the leading NFL sportsbook.
Since several other linemen are recovering from injuries, Mansfield Wrotto will play as the first left tackle for the team, in the preseason game against Minnesota, scheduled on Saturday.
